Position Overview: We are seeking a creative and dedicated Program Coordinator for Children's Programming to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating engaging and unique programming for children ages 3-12, fostering a positive learning environment, and building meaningful relationships with both children and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop engaging and age-appropriate programming for children between the ages of 3 and 12.
- Lead and facilitate various programs, ensuring a fun and educational experience for participants.
- Interact with children on a personal and group level, fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with children and collaborate effectively with staff members.
- Responsible for the maintenance and organization of program equipment and materials.
- Create a safe and secure space for learning, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Encourage and incorporate outside skills and interests into the program to enrich the learning experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred) OR currently enrolled in post-secondary education
- Experience in program development and coordination for children's activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and a creative mindset.
- Ability to adapt to different age groups and tailor programs accordingly.
- Able to complete a Vulnerable Sectors Check
