William Day Construction Limited is currently seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator.
This individual must have:
- Health and Safety Background an asset
- Strong working knowledge of OHSA and Regulations geared to Surface Mining
- Demonstrate continuing education / growth in the safety field
- Professionalism when dealing with customers, clients and employees
Skills, Duties and Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years experience
- Accident Investigation
- Reporting requirements
- WSIB claim reporting
- Assist in developing and maintaining company policies and procedures
- Company liaison to MOL- Canada Agencies and clients
- Manage Health & Safety audits-performance reviews-site inspections-customer contract safety requirements
- Strong supervisory skills
- Computer skills
- Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Work inside and outside in all weather conditions, and various locations
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated
- Team Player; able to get along with a diverse group of people working towards a common goal
- Must be available to work shift work when required.
- Excellent organization and planning skills to prioritize and balance work
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficient
- Valid Drivers License is required with a clean abstract
- Criminal record check is mandatory
