Electrician

Cardinal Health Canada is currently seeking an Electrician to join our Gananoque Team. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing all electrical work within the Gananoque facility.
Your Contributions to the Organization will be :
Electrical support of the 24/5 automated manufacturing equipment and facility systems within an ISO 13485/FDA environment.
Modify and troubleshoot PLC (Program Logistic Controls) software and PC based control system, in compliance with change control processes.
Create and execute preventive maintenance and calibration procedures on all types of electrical components, including 75 different types of equipment and approximately 150 machines in total.
Hands on or related experience with troubleshooting, repairing, assembling and upgrading automated production equipment utilizing appropriate tools and equipment.
Install electrical equipment, controls and wiring on standard products and industrial machinery.
Select operation sequences, locate equipment and wiring details per specifications, cut and bend conduit, pull wires, make connections, perform standardized tests and make adjustments as required.
Must have a working knowledge of all types of motors and controls including servos, steppers and induction motors.
Must be able to troubleshoot circuitry as well as electronic controls and repair them.
Must know rules and be able to install new services according to Ontario Electrical Code by ESA and be able to read schematic diagrams or electrical and electronic equipment.
Operate under Lean Manufacturing Principles in an ISO 13485 environment.
Ensure that daily/weekly/monthly tasks are completed as scheduled.
Perform work in keeping with Corporate Maintenance Excellence program and Maximo Maintenance IT Platform.
Follow sites 5S systems and processes.
Ensure that the workstation is clean at all times.
Ensure that tools are all calibrated and in working order.
Collaboration with engineering and production teams.
Work in multidisciplinary teams.
Responsible for seeing that all tasks are performed in a manner that complies with Cardinal’s Policies & Procedures, and all regulatory requirements.
This Job might be for you if:
You have High School diploma or equivalent
Certified Electrician or Electrical Technician or Certified Electro Mechanic strongly preferred
You preferably have experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
You have Knowledge of PLCs and strong troubleshooting skills
You must have excellent knowledge of industrial electrical control circuitry
You have knowledge of vision systems an asset
You are able to read engineering drawings
You are able to work on a rotating shift basis. (8-hour shifts, Mon-Fri)
