Summit Veterinary Pharmacy is seeking one full-time 6 month contract Facility Supervisor to join our busy General Operations Department team.
Located in Aurora, Ontario, Summit has been supplying prescription compounded medications to veterinary clinics across Canada for over 20 years. Principle Responsibilities:
- Maintain an organized preventative maintenance calendar for all scheduled facility maintenance visits
- Create a directory and maintain the clearance certificates of outside contractors for scheduled and emergency visits
- Act as a point of contact with outside facility contractors to maintain or resolve building concerns
- Liaise for Company with landlord
- Responsible for looking after the supply orders from Ecolab and Janitorial company
- Coordinate with colleagues to anticipate potential facility related problems
- Solve facility concerns and verbal requests
- Deal with maintaining and purchasing locks and keys as needed
- Arrange all facility repairs and modifications for completion either by the maintenance & repairs coordinator, contractors or independently
- Maintain and keep entrances, emergency exits, waste location bins and walkways free from debris (to prevent safety issues) such as snow & ice
- Shopping and procurement at outside/online retailers for supplies, equipment and consumables for staff and facility
- Supervise the Cleaning Associates (internal or outside services, i.e., Service Master)
- Supervise the Inventory Coordinator and understand all functions of role to act as a backup if necessary
- Upkeep the 3rdparty maintenance on company vehicles
- Provide assistance in all aspects of Drug Destruction functions including the volunteer’s participation
- Assist in creating and/or editing Work instructions, Standard Operating Procedure or other work documents related to Facilities.
- Perform additional tasks at the request of management (i.e.: assembly, maintenance and repair)

Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational school or some college
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
- May be required to work additional hours
