KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintenance, examination and repair, as needed, of various sized portable fire extinguishers
- Understand the type, size and testing procedure for different Fire Extinguisher Manufacturers
- Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures
- Delivery and pick up of extinguishers from various sites for repairs
- Perform data entry functions for tracking the services performed on Fire Extinguishers
- As required to include a thorough examination of the mechanical parts, extinguishing agent and expelling means of each portable fire extinguisher.
- Internal examination every 6 years and stored pressure fire extinguishers that require a 12-year hydrostatic test.
- Low pressure hydrostatic testing of the extinguisher to verify its strength against rupture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Training provided
- Drivers license with clean drivers abstract required.
