In the role of Marketing and Sales Director, you will shoulder the strategic responsibility for conceiving, developing, and flawlessly executing a multifaceted marketing and sales strategy. Your mandate will be to propel our organization towards achieving revenue growth and market prominence. This senior-level role necessitates not only your strategic prowess but also your ability to nurture and lead a proficient team while collaborating harmoniously with various cross-functional departments.

Formulate and execute a comprehensive marketing and sales strategy that seamlessly aligns with the overarching corporate objectives.
- Diligently assess market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and invaluable customer insights to unearth strategic avenues for growth.
- Set aspirational yet attainable benchmarks and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to rigorously gauge achievements.
- Offer mentorship, direction, and constructive feedback to empower team members, thereby optimizing their individual and collective performance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within your team.
- Oversee the entire spectrum of sales activities, encompassing lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention strategies.
- Utilize sales metrics to derive actionable insights, perpetually refining strategies for enhanced efficacy.
- Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with strategic clients and partners, leveraging these alliances to augment business growth.
- Craft and execute integrated marketing campaigns designed to catapult brand recognition and customer engagement to new heights.
- Prepare the marketing budget, diligently optimizing resource allocation to maximize Return on Investment (ROI).
- Utilize the potential of digital marketing, social media, content marketing, and traditional channels to extend our reach into target markets.
- Commission and oversee comprehensive market research, dissecting market trends, discerning customer preferences, and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.
- Empower decisions with data-driven insights, facilitating the adaptability of strategies to stay ahead in the ever-evolving market landscape.
- Initiate and cultivate relationships with prominent brands and key players in the industry to facilitate collaborations and strategic partnerships.
- Leverage these relationships to expand Herbaland's product presence and influence in the Canadian market.
- Develop and manage the marketing and sales budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and resource allocation that best aligns with our objectives.
- Regularly furnish financial reports and forecasts to senior management, providing actionable insights into our financial performance.
- Mentor and empower current employees to expand their capabilities, capacity, and vision.
- Provide guidance for career development and foster a culture of continuous learning within the team.
- Build strong relationships with the R&D department to ensure alignment of product development with customer preferences.
- Collaborate closely with the sales department to gain insights into customer needs and preferences.
- Work closely with the production department to ensure seamless alignment between product production and market demand.
An ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in leadership roles within marketing and sales.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving and surpassing sales targets, driving substantial revenue growth.
- Exceptional analytical acumen, strategic planning expertise, and adeptness at problem-solving.
- Superb communication skills, both written and verbal, and a gift for interpersonal relations.
- Proficiency in utilizing marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM, analytics, marketing automation).
- A solid background of connections in various pharmaceutical companies is mandatory.
- Knowledge of [specific industry or market] is a distinct advantage.
