Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, repairing, and verifying operations of vacuum specific systems, including vacuum blowers, pumps and associated piping systems.
- Coordinate all work order parts needs and supplies with Foreman.
- Assist in the repair and placement of hydraulic and electrical components in our repair department
- Work with management and support teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product problems and develop new efficiencies.
- Liaise with management team to discuss upcoming work, any OH&S issues, or any items that may be raised for discussion with staff.
- Identify non-conformances and make recommendations to management.
- Provide detailed inspections in accordance with company policies and procedures for all tools and equipment.
- Provide technical support for warranty and service teams as required.
Qualifications
· Experience using electrical or manual tools
· Background in truck hydraulic systems and/or truck electrical systems is required
- Experience in Vacuum truck componentry, including vacuum blowers, hydraulics, air and electrical.
- Familiar with open & closed loop systems
- Familiar with hydraulic schematics
- Welding and Fabrication experience considered an asset
· Ability to practice safe work practices and properly use PPE
· High attention to detail required, with the ability to look ahead in the work process
· Patience and adaptability to multi-tasking
- Ability to speak, read and write in English.
