SQM is looking for a Junior Systems Administrator. This is a full-time, permanent position working from SQM's office in Vernon, BC.
Key Responsibilities:
The Junior Systems Administrator plays a key role in supporting, maintaining, configuring, and operating computer systems within the IT infrastructure, in addition to providing IT support for non-technical users. A low-level understanding of the IT infrastructure is expected. The Junior Systems Administrator reports to the Director of Information Technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responding to and managing IT helpdesk tickets

Remote user support utilizing Remote Management and Monitoring systems

Employee onboarding including hardware setup, account setup, software license management, and training

End-user training on new software applications and other technology
-
Asset Management tracking/updating
-
Active Directory management
-
Group Policy management
-
Installation, updating, and support for workstations and servers for hardware, software, and Operating Systems

Revising and maintaining IT documentation

Scheduling availability for planned system maintenance outside of regular business hours as well as notifying staff of system changes, planned + unexpected downtime, and other IT events via Instant Messaging and Email

Responding to critical IT events outside of regular business hours
