The Armour Group Limited is one of the leading construction and development companies in Atlantic Canada. With its dedicated team of professionals, The Armour Group Limited continues a proud history of creating a sense of place in Nova Scotia – carefully designing, developing, constructing and operating some of our region’s most iconic buildings. With more than 45 years of history in our region, this family owned firm remains committed to a principled approach to development, ensuring that our buildings are environmentally sustainable and integrated into the communities they serve.
If you share our values and would like to work with a skilled professional team, Armour is presently seeking a Project Coordinator. The firm’s projects are diverse and include a range of work from restaurant retail, base building upgrades, tenant improvements to complex new developments.
Reporting to the Construction Manager and supporting different Project Managers and Site Superintendents, your responsibilities will include creating and updating project and construction documents. You will maintain up to date construction schedules, submittal logs, drawing logs, construction drawings and front-end of tender documents. You will liaise with design consultants and contractors to obtain submittals and approvals, design drawing updates, RFI or SI updates. You will manage project folders and keep files up to date. After a Contractor has been awarded, the Project Coordinator will create these contracts in Armour’s accounting system and create progress billing templates for future invoicing.
We require a ‘get-it-done’ attitude, be proactive, dependable, have a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently. The Project Coordinator will consistently and efficiently provide site updates to the Project Manager.
The successful candidate will have completed a post-secondary degree or diploma in a construction related discipline and have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a project support role. Strong organizational and time management skills are a must.
In this role you will be supported in your learning and growth. You will have the opportunity to be an important member of a strong and dynamic team and be exposed to diverse business issues.
