Responsibilities:
Management of Employees
- Ensure supervisors responsibilities are followed;
- Make sure your teams has everything they need to operate for the whole shift (eg: recipes cards, recipes, proteins, box, icepack, etc);
- Make sure all carriers are coming and leaving on time, and that all pallets are loaded correctly;
- Manage, delegate and coordinate the work within the team according to the objectives set;
- Train new employees and aim to empower them in their work;
- Maintain good working relationships and motivate employees;
- Settle first-level conflicts by being fair and equitable;
- List and document absences, delays or behaviour problems and notify the manager when an intervention is required (disciplinary opinion);
- Make suggestions to the Manager of shipping in terms of time, organization of teams and manpower needs;
- See improvement of production standards (work and personal techniques);
- Participate in different meetings and make suggestions for situations to improve.
Health / Safety and Hygiene / Sanitation:
- Ensure the application and respect of the standards of health and safety at work and rules of hygiene and sanitation with the team;
- Promote the maintenance of workplaces and clean and safe equipment;
- Ensure that cleaning and storage of rooms and equipment are completed at the end of each shift;
- Ensure continuous improvement of practices.
Quality Control
- Ensure that the products conform to the specifications and meet Goodfood Market quality standards (good quantity, adequate packaging, positioning in the box, respect to temperatures etc.);
- Analyze and correct quality issues each week.
Productivity
- Support the Shipping Manager with mounting reports and shipping data;
- Ensure the optimization of staff utilization within his team (such as: controlling and distributing overtime equitably);
- Optimize the use of time and equipment.
Experiences and Competencies
- Technical education (3-year college diploma);
- 6-10 years of relevant experience.
