Job Description:
Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, Sr. Talend Developer
As a Sr. developer you need to lead our design and build efforts in our ETL/Talend and MS SQL environment. The team develops and operates a web-based enterprise level application for financial
transaction matching.
Responsibilities
· Produce clean, standards based, modern code with an emphasis on advocacy toward end-users to produce high quality ETL applications that are well-documented.
· Demonstrate an understanding of technology and digital frameworks in the context of data integration.
· Ensure code and design quality through the execution of test plans and assist in development of standards, methodology and repeatable processes, working closely with internal and external design, business, and technical counterparts.
· Create technical specs, code and configuration
· Executes and supervise tests
· Design end to end solution architecture and guide development teams in
complex requirements
· Actively responsive to customers and mitigate issues such as product feature deficiencies and other objections
· Upgrade and Install Talend software plan and execute patches, minor and major
release upgrades
· Manage ETL’s refreshes and monitoring, migrations
· Work closely with data architects and suggest configuration and process changes to improve the reliability, scalability and supportability of Snowflake solutions
· Maintain scripts and documentation related to Product suite
· Continuously improve ETL and data processes
· Ingest data into Data Lake over Azure Cloud and orchestration using Snowflake
Minimum qualification
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent
· Solid IT work experience in the operations or development areas for databases and ETL processes, using SQL and Talend technology
· Experience with large projects and working with global teams in an English-speakingwork environment
· Adaptive to AGILE methodology and SCRUM experience
· Experience in designing, developing, validating and deploying the Talend ETL processes
· Experience with Talend Data Integration: Design, develop Talend ETL scripts, creating and deploying end to end Talend Data Integration solution
· Experience with a full life-cycle development from functional design to deployment
· Database experience (Snowflake, SQL Server or DB2)
· Strong knowledge and experience of SQL
· Understanding of Dimensional Models
· Experience with development and production support
Preferred qualifications
· Talend server installation and configuring/ administration
· SQL system migration and upgrade experience are advantages
· Good knowledge in the financial domain is a great plus
· Strong Analytical skill and communication skills
· Ability to self-learn and teach more junior team members
· Tolerance uncertainties, ability to take measured risk
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $110.00-$120.00 per year
