Bus Driver - Bulkley-Nechako
PWTransit is currently hiring a full-time driver in the Burns Lake area. The successful candidate would work 37 hours per week, providing service to Prince George and Smithers as part of the Highway 16 Corridor Project.

Duties
- Transport passengers on scheduled runs in accordance with BC Transit and Company policies, observing all traffic laws and safety rules and adhering to time schedules
- Complete a variety of vehicle and incident reports as required. Carry out emergency / collision procedures when required
- Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner
Qualifications
- Must meet qualifications for ICBC Commercial Licensing
- Significant skills dealing effectively with the public, including demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, problem solving, and sound decision-making in positions providing customer service
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to communicate effectively with the traveling public and to report on incidents involving safety and / or service
- Valid class 1 or 2Q driver's license with a demonstrated record indicating safe and responsible vehicle operation over the past 5 years
- No criminal convictions or pending charges relating directly to a driving position
Additional Information
- A good knowledge of the local area and mechanical aptitude is an asset
- This position may require working split shifts, as well as weekends and statutory holidays

Salary: $23.14-$28.93 per hour
