Introduction to the Role
As the Director of Sales at Digital Convergence, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue targets, drive business growth, and establish strong relationships with clients. You will play a crucial role in developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the organization's objectives and market trends.
- Set ambitious sales targets, quotas, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team.
- Analyze market data and client insights to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals.
- Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to enhance the team's sales capabilities.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement improvement plans where necessary.
- Identify potential clients, market segments, and key accounts to expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with product offerings.
- Oversee the sales process from lead generation to deal closure.
- Monitor and manage sales pipelines to ensure accurate forecasting and timely closure of deals.
- Implement and optimize sales tools, CRM systems, and sales automation processes.
- Track and analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to executive management.
- Propose strategies for optimizing sales processes and increasing revenue.
- Ensure client satisfaction through excellent service and timely issue resolution.
- Address client concerns and feedback to maintain strong client relationships.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
- Utilize industry knowledge to provide insights and solutions to clients and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is an asset.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or director-level role with an agency background.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong analytical abilities and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, sales automation tools, and sales performance analytics.
- Well networked and on top of development in strategic innovation, and people
- A deep understanding of the government, life sciences and high education industries, market dynamics, and client needs.
- Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events as required.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
