Reporting to the Manager of Health Information Services the General Office Clerk is responsible for the communication system and the reception/registration duties within the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital.

High school graduation with completion of a recognized Office Procedure/ Secretarial Course required

Graduate of an approved Medical Terminology Program is required
-
Demonstrated skills and experience with Windows and Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook and Explorer, as well as Meditech computer training and experience is required. Experience working with Nightingale preferred

Related hospital exposure in an applicable setting preferred

Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; must be an effective team player

Ability to work rotational shifts required

Previous work attendance may be considered

Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
