POSITION SUMMARY
As the Planner, you are responsible for meeting or exceeding sales and profit objectives for several merchandise categories and the execution of allocation and replenishment strategies. You will oversee the development of pre-season and in season financial plans that help drive merchandising initiatives to grow topline sales, ensuring profitability and maximizing inventory productivity. The Planner is responsible for the supervision, training, and development of Allocation/Replenishment Analysts.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Merchandise Planning

Pre-Season and In-Season Sales and Margin planning/forecasting and open to buy management to achieve corporate goals and desired inventory turnover

Build store and ecom goals by department

Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities to the business and design action plans for maximum impact

Perform consolidated gap analysis on initial forecasted plan to actual results

Recommend seasonal merchandise flow strategies that support sales, profit, and customer expectations

Provide in-depth analysis of product performance and make recommendations to maximize business opportunities

Partner with Buying team to develop and execute quarterly product and inventory strategies to meet financial targets and corporate objectives

Partner with Buying to develop assortment plans for different trading channels - reconcile tops-down category plan with bottoms-up at style-color level
Allocation Leadership

Manage and track inbound and outbound of inventory by store drop schedules

Build allocation strategies to align with store capacity and sales/inventory turnover goals

Allocation planning supported by current and historical data - establish appropriate stock strategy and initiate inventory replenishment/re-balance plans for all business segments across Retail and eComm to maximize sales conversion

Work along with allocation team on initial allocation and replenishment to the stores and ensure the flow of the inventory is aligned with corporate financial goals.

Work with cross-functional teams to execute inventory transfers and product pulls
Reporting

Manage weekly/monthly reports - Optimize the reporting process to ensure efficiencies within the team

Develop and implement reporting tools to optimize allocations, assortment, inventory weeks of supply (WOS) targets, and achieve sales, contributing margin, and turns expectations
