Logistics Coordinator
Logistics Coordinator is primarily responsible for execution and maintenance of Price Industries’ domestic/international Logistics transactions and project management; this includes process development, training, and audit activities as they apply to international logistics. The individual is also responsible for supporting international initiatives by providing full analysis of opportunities, relationship mapping and business case development.
As a member of the logistics team, the Logistics Coordinator works closely with shipping, customer service, trade compliance, purchasing, manufacturing teams, engineers, and product managers to support the Price business plan.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

Demonstrate accountability and knowledge on international logistics topics.

Analyze current supply chain and business systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
-
Gain knowledge of any/all regulations, statutes, and laws regarding international logistics requirements impacting Price’s business activities. Define and implement appropriate procedures and processes for compliance.

Support international freight forwarder and carrier assessment and onboarding process.
-
Support the day-to-day operations.
-
Provide coverage support as needed (Evenings & Weekends)

Help lead continuous improvement within our team.
-
Manage complex moves, plan, and execute load planning and assist in arranging for irregular transports.

Support quote requests, claims process, scheduling inbound/outbound freight.
-
Identify carrier opportunities to improve pricing and service.
-
Ensure & maintain shipments leave on time.
-
Ensure on time carrier performance.
-
Support projects including freight RFP’s and flexible loading solutions.
-
Maintain regular communication with buyers, manufacturing leadership and product managers to ensure alignment with business direction.

Lead/support development of relationships with carriers and onboarding new partners.
-
Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on Price’s logistics activities.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
-
Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in a logistics role.
-
Preferred bachelor’s degree or diploma/certificate in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering or related field.
-
CCS, CITT, CCLP credentials are an advantage.
-
IATA DGR training is an advantage.
-
Negotiation skills is an advantage.
-
Working knowledge of domestic and international logistics requirements.

Working knowledge of Incoterms.

Working knowledge of tariff schedules & accessorial fees.

Strong PC application skills including complement of Microsoft Office software.

Excellent planning, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Strength in training and presentation skills.

High ethical standards.

Self-starter who is a creative out of the box thinker.

Possess high sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
