The opportunity:
As part of Grissin Bon Production Team, the Sheeting - Machine Operator position will be responsible for operating multi-function process control and single-function machines to process and package food products.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring all product recipes are followed, saved, and loaded correctly
- Monitor dough for quality issues and adjust dough accordingly
- Assist Line Leader or mixer operator with loading of raw materials when needed
- Feed and unload food and associated products into processing machines
- Competent and versed on the functions of all machines from the Mixer to the Cutting Knife
- Must be able to relieve Mixer Operator for breaks throughout the day
- Verify that all batches produced on shift in timely manner respecting production schedules
- Conduct oven temperature checks as needed and clear machine blockages as required
- Collect samples of materials or products, check and record parameters for QA testing (as needed)
- Successfully carry out changeovers and set up for different products following procedures, ensuring timely completions, and returning ingredients to designated storage areas
- Complete changeover check sheets when necessary
- Clean and sanitize machines, work areas and equipment following GMP and HACCP standards
- Ensure machine is locked out according to company safety policies and procedures
- Safely use a variety of utensils, equipment, and industrial bakery machinery
- Certified hoist operator with the ability to remove and insert die rollers
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Make necessary adjustments to sheeting when needed to correct any concerns with finished product
What you bring:
- Previous experience as a sheeting and/or mixing machine operator within industrial baking, GMP regulated food & beverage or consumer packaged goods industry required
- Meets the physical demands of the position
- Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent hand & eye co-ordination
- Performs basic math and measurement operations, strong problem-solving skills
