Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and entry into the accounting system
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate payment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any issues related to accounts payable
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports as needed
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices
- Experience with account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies
- Familiarity with corporate accounting procedures and technical accounting concepts
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook as well as general knowledge of accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
