AltaGas - Coordinator, Logistics
Reporting to the Team Lead, Logistics, the successful candidate will provide support to the rail logistics team for managing the movements of LPG's. This person will require strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills while working with a high performing team of schedulers, coordinators, and marketers.
You will:
Support day-to-day scheduling of NGL products (propane and butane) via rail between origin and destinations across North America
Communicate regularly with operations and 3rd party service providers to ensure NGL transportation needs are aligned with operational activities
Document and BOL management for shipment tracking
Work collaboratively with commercial and operations teams to plan and execute product movements in the best interest of organization execution and margin optimization
Work closely with accounting, finance, and Class 1 railroads to ensure accurate invoicing and payment
Database management and maintenance
Monitor and maintain KPI’s relating to NGL movements (fleet utilization, cycle times, dwell times, etc.)
You have:
Post-secondary degree
0-1 years of experience with a focus on logistics in LPG, NGL, condensate, and/or crude markets
Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team environment
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail, proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet critical deadlines
Strong data analytical skills
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
Some weekend and after-hours work will be required
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and analyze multiple scenarios in solving broadly defined or complex business problems
