Additional skills desired for the role
Familiar with troubleshooting/repair practices and principles coupled with documented experience using standard test equipment such as network analyzers, Multimeters, Oscilloscope, Time Domain Reflectometer and fibre optic) found in a large-scale systems operational/engineering environment.
Member should be trained in MOST of the following types of connectorization:

Single and Multimode splicing and Connectorization (certification required)

LAN connections, including RJ45 & RJ11 connectors

Multipin Military specification connectors, using soldering and crimping techniques

Coax, Triax and Heliax connections
-
Fibre (UNICAM) Connectors
-
Installation of specialty connectors and conduit as per manufacturer’s instructions.
