We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to provide personalized reading & writing tutoring to grade 1 - 12 students in Mississauga.
Position Overview:
As an In-Home Tutor, you will work closely with students to provide one-on-one academic support and guidance.
You will be responsible for developing customized lesson plans tailored to the student's needs, facilitating engaging and interactive learning sessions, and tracking their progress over time.

Tutor Responsibilities (not an exhausted list):
· Develop personalized learning plans based on individual student needs, subject areas, and learning goals.
· Teach engaging and interactive lessons to promote understanding and retention of key concepts.
· Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
· Assess students' progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tutoring sessions, including student performance and lesson plans.
· Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the tutoring company to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
· Collaborate with fellow educators to continuously improve teaching methods and curriculum materials.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Education, or tutoring subject area.
· Must have a valid Driver's Licence, insurance & reliable access to a car.
· Previous tutoring or teaching experience, preferably in a one-on-one setting.
· Strong knowledge and expertise in the subject area(s) you can tutor.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
· Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and insurance.
· Ability to travel to students' homes within a designated service area.
· (If needed) ability to commute to the storage facility (in Oakville directly off the QEW) during open hours to pick up learning materials/resources.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Flexibility in working hours to accommodate students' schedules, including evenings and weekends.
