Summary: Threshold Aviation is seeking a part-time position for a 737 Simulator instructor and sales associate to work in our aviation retail store. Must have previous flying experience or flight simulator experience, as well as a willingness to learn about our products and services.
Daily tasks include instructing clients in our aircraft simulator, running store and warehouse operations with other associates. This includes dutites such as stocking shelves, merchandising, processing shipments, working under managers to assist in administrative and managerial roles.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks Responds to and handles customer inquiries, requests and concerns in a timely manner, over the phone and in person. Learns about new products on a regular basis. Take reservations over the phone and in the store for our aviation simulator experiences. Keeps up to date with in-store promotions, in-store deals and product locations. Ensures that retail basics tasks are executed efficiently. Identify low stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy.
EXPECTED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Simulator Duties:
· Showing guests the basic skills required to “fly” our fixed base aircraft simulator
· Dealing with guests of all knowledge levels (from the general public to a qualified airline pilot)
· Maintain professionalism and positive interactions with customers of all ages
Assets:
Flight simulator knowledge is an asset
Ability to take extra shifts on short notice is an asset
Fluency in French or a secondary language is an asset
Knowledge of 737 or jet aircraft cockpits is an asset
Previous retail/client service experience in a fast paced environment is required.
Ability to multi-task, while providing professional and outstanding client service.
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays is essential.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Ability to communicate in a second language is an asset
Physical Requirements
Working 8 to 10 hour shifts
Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Bend and stretch to stock shelves.
