What You Will Do:
As a Distribution Inventory Specialist , your responsibilities include managing all inventory accuracy and data maintenance activities within the ERP, including administering the cycle/physical count program, maintaining distribution-related item and location master data, troubleshooting inventory discrepancies, as well as supporting all distribution activities during peak activity periods.

Coordinate daily cycle counting activities and manual/scheduled inventory counts with oversight from Distribution Leadership

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies resulting from cycle counts, picking exceptions, outbound shipping variances and inbound receiving variances through recounts, historical transaction investigation and UOM/Pack content verification. Gather additional information from Customer Service, Logistics, and Supply Planning, and Quality Assurance when applicable.

Report any discrepancies for drugs and natural health products to Quality Assurance

Review and initiate corrective action for inventory transactions/verification identified in the weekly inventory monitoring reports issued by Inventory Control, including mixed lot/locator reports, in a timely manner

Remove expiring inventory from stock and non-stock locations monthly.

Collaborate with RAQA to complete product incident (PI) / product hold (PH) requests and ensure inventory transferred into and out of the Quarantine area (Q-Cage) is adequately controlled and recorded accurately in the ERP with urgency

Support Distribution Associates when they encounter transaction obstacles in the ERP by investigating and resolving data issues.

Maintain distribution-related item master data (e.g., dimensions and weights, barcodes/GTINs).

Maintain locator design and set-up in the ERP, including barcode labelling. Assist with the expansion of inventories as needed to ensure product is properly stored

Work with Distribution Leadership to collect, report, and monitor departmental volume and accuracy KPI’s on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Support all areas of the Distribution Centre during peak volume periods, including receiving, restocking, picking, and packing/shipping in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and company policies

Maintain up-to-date training on departmental and company SOPs

Identify and communicate any required procedural updates based on day-to-day operations
What You Need:
-
Combination of post-secondary education (focus in supply-chain, business or technology preferred) and 1 year experience required (3 years preferred), OR high-school diploma and 3 years’ experience (5 years preferred) performing distribution functions within an ERP/WMS

Intermediate knowledge of/experience with operating within an ERP and/or WMS system (e.g., Oracle)

Intermediate skills/experience using Office 365 suite of applications including Outlook, MS Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI

Ability to problem solve complex issues that include receiving and shipping discrepancies. Demonstrates a proactive mindset and collaborative approach to problem solving.

Basic knowledge of/experience with distribution, supply chain & inventory management industry best practices gained through specialized education, training, or experience

High competency operating and troubleshooting using RF Scanners

Strong Analytical skills and data mining/organization skills.
