As a Journeyman/woman Electrician with Industrial Experience, you understand that safety is the number one priority. You are driven and motivated to be a part of our dynamic team, able to work on light-industrial EHT and electrical scopes as well as local service work within Fort McMurray and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo
A day in the life of a Westward Electrician with EHT experience:
- Set an example of safe work practices, including the wearing of PPE
- Inspect blueprints/drawings and plan daily tasking
- Organize team activities and proceed with designated scope
- Lead by example to collaborate with apprentices and coworkers in completing tasks efficiently
- Participate in safe work practices, tool-box meetings, and hazard assessments
- Maintain positive, professional business relations with clients and coworkers
- Provide “on-tools” team direction when required
What you will bring to the table:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician certification
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years experience with work in an industrial site setting
- Experience providing accurate and timely reporting
- Robust ability to adapt to continually shifting priorities
- Sense of urgency, proactive nature and the ability to make judgment calls
- Strong attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of applicable Building and Electrical Codes, including advanced wiring methods
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Competence using computer software including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to decipher commercial drawings, make red-line changes and plan daily execution
