Position Summary
The Slitter Operator’s primary responsibility is to produce quality slit coils in a safe, productive and profitable manner while achieving their daily production target. Acts as the team leader and is responsible for guiding the slitting crew.
What you’ll do:
Verify production run package information for accuracy
Ensure slitter set up is correct including gamma gauge monitoring equipment
Verify correct coils are supplied for the production run by performing required verification checks
Process coils ensuring quality and customer tolerances are adhered to
Supply Slitting team with set up and process instruction
What you’ll need:
Advanced knowledge and skill level with the slitting machine
Ability to speak English and understand English
Basic computer skills
Must be able to perform basic mathematic calculations of standard and metric measurement
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines must be met
Ability to work overtime as required
