JOB SUMMARY
The Chief Director of Marketing & Sales of Canadian Adventure Charters Ltd and is responsible for the success of the Corporation. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for creating and implementing a clear sense of direction for the Corporation and its related businesses by defining, communicating, and overseeing the Corporation’s mission, goals, operating principles, and strategic actions. And to develop our luxury explore yacht charter platform, create and build our brand/product and website, online booking and shopping center. To promote Newfoundland & Labrador and The Northwest Passage, at charter destinations within CAC,s selected charter operations loop in to Newfoundland, to Labrador, Northwest Passage, Spain, Canary Islands, Bahamas and Fort Lauderdale. To build a charter yachting destination industry in Newfoundland & Labrador, has our yachting hub for Newfoundland & Labrador & Northwest Passage Charter Adventures, Submarine Dive Expeditions, Exploration, Treasure & Shipwreck Recovery, Underwater Film/ Documentary Entertainment- Climate Change/Global Warming Research,

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is the most senior management position in the Corporation, with responsibility for:
The Chief Director of Marketing & Sales holds a successful portfolio building and managing public trading corporations, private and non-profit for a minimum of 15 years, working with Investor Relations (IR) Stakeholders, including networking and building partner relations with 500 Fortune Companies. Managing $50M-$500M annual marketing and sales portfolio's
The role will be responsible for managing all marketing initiatives, including creating marketing and sales plan, creating branding & management, digital marketing, advertising campaigns, event marketing, data management, public relations, and content creation. This role is critical in promoting a positive corporate brand image and maintaining strong external communication with key stakeholders, including investors, clients, media, and the public.
The Chief Director of Marketing will report to the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Finical Executive & President of Business Development & Operations. They will work closely with other members of the executive team to ensure the alignment of marketing strategies with overall company goals
The Chief Director of Marketing & Sales as extensive experience networking & scheduling annual events within the super rich and ultra-wealthy billionaire’s global events calendar
The Chief Director of Marketing & Sales as extensive experience and networks in the luxury yachting and submersible industry, yacht clubs, association’s, marina’s, boat shows, luxury yacht builders and charter management companies. This is a “KEY Requirement” for the roll & position.
The overall management of the business including its overall strategic direction, preparation of agendas and background information for Board meetings and its various Committee meetings.
Keeps the Board fully informed of the conditions of the Corporation and on all crucial factors influencing it.
The development of annual works plans and related capital and operating budgets, development of operational policies and procedures.
The day-to-day marketing and sales management, human resources recruitment, budget and financial oversight and monitoring.
Conducts market analysis and opportunity identification in relation to the mission of the Corporation.
Overall marketing and sales planning, design and implementation of projects and programs within the mandate for the Corporation.
Communications and marketing for the purpose of business development; and
Must actively participate in the compliance of the Corporation’s corporate governance policies and procedures.
Governance, Strategy, Development, Planning and Reporting
Structuring CAC, marketing and sale missions, goals and plans into our publicly trading corporation, while working with our community and business partners
Formulates and updates the annual business plan and strategies, policies and procedures for the Corporation and brings these to the Board for input, consideration, decision, and ratification.
Ensures strategic and annual planning processes and procedures are undertaken and effective budget and plans are prepared for Board approval.
Seeks out and develops business opportunities and presents such opportunities to the Board for consideration and decision.
Ensures that reports to the Board are always transparent and provided on a timely basis.
Ensures adherence to the legal guidelines and in -house policies to maintain legality and business ethics.
Community & Relationship Management
Initiates, develops, and maintains effective strategic relationships and networks with key stakeholders including luxury charter companies/brokers/agents , government agencies, business owners, travel agents, customers, potential customers, partners and suppliers and research institutes
Examines and recommends partnerships with private and public entities in support of projects that will assist the Corporation in fulfilling its mission and objectives; and
Promotes and advocates the profile of the Corporation.
Support community events including Future Emergency Preparedness Planning/Management
Builds and maintains a high-performance culture through effective performance management, communication and coaching of staff,
Recruits appropriately skilled staff to all positions and establishes appropriate remuneration levels and performance-based conditions for each employee.
Establishes performance marketing and sales management plans with charter companies/brokers/agents, industry clients, employees and undertakes performance reviews, recommends salary and benefit changes, promotions, and dismissals as appropriate within the authority of the position; and
Recruits and appoints with the approval of the Board, where necessary.
Communication:
Fluent speaking language, creative writing and business management skills in English and 3 of the following: French, German, Polish, Spanish, Mandarin, Norwegian, Arabic and Russian are very important for translation to international charter clients and guess our charter travel adventure product, branding, business development, networking building relations with investor and stakeholders
Financial Management
Prepares and presents an annual marketing and sale operating and capital budget to the Board for approval complete with all supporting background information and documentation; and
JOB KNOWLEDGE
The work requires the following education, knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Education
University Degree in a related field such as a degree in, Business, Marketing & Sales, Economics, IT or Finance.
Experience- An Expert and Specialists:
Significant and proven leadership skills developed through at least 15 years in a senior management role and experience related to economic and business development activity in marine resource development, treasure & shipwreck recovery- luxury yachting industry- offshore adventures, expeditions, exploration on land and deep sea submarine operations, film entertainment industry- Dr. Scientist-Climate Change-Global Warming Research, commercial charter vessel management operations
Expert knowledge of business operations, asset management, marketing, finance, and business processes related to economic and business development activities.
Ability to build effective relationships with external stakeholders and collaboration, inspire and motivate high performance and effectively resolve conflict; and
Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands
The Director Marketing & Sales will have to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. There may be some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time. The Director of Marketing & Sales may be required to travel and may need to work extended or flexible hours as required. MUST NOT GET SEA SICK OR AIR SICK
Environmental Conditions
The Chief Director of Marketing & Sales may have to manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the demands of competing priorities.
Sensory Demands
Sensory demands include use of the computer, which may cause eyestrain and occasional headaches. The Chief Director of Marketing & Sales may find the environment to be busy, high sea's, cold and hot climate temperatures, areas with bears and wild animals, flies mosquitoes, jelly fish, noisy and will need excellent organizational and time and stress management skills to complete the required tasks.
Mental Demands
The Chief Director of Marketing & Sales manages a variety of tasks and deadlines and may find the demands to be stressful.
Travel: The Chief Director of Marketing & Sales will be required to travel when needed onboard of CAC,s luxury exploration yacht, on tenders, floatplane, heli, underwater submarine dives and hovercraft

Dependent upon education and experience.
