Flight Coordinator

NCC Development Limited (NCCD) has an immediate opening for a Flight Coordinator located in Iqaluit. NCC Development Limited, a division of NCC Investment Group (NCCIG), manages and oversees all small and large development projects.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate chartered personnel flights as well as commercial flights when needed.
- Exercise and maintain joint responsibility with contracted airlines for operational control in all matter affecting safety of flights.
- Advise pertinent personnel of any operational concerns that may impact operations including flight delays, cancellations, payload restrictions, equipment severability and ground support concerns.
- Prepare and maintain various reports on the progress of flight activity using manual and computerized systems.
- Coordinates and monitors logistics of the movement of parts, supplies, materials, and personnel transported via aircraft from major centers to site-based locations.
- Ensure prompt receipt and delivery of equipment to and from contracted airlines.
- Maintain detailed data records of cargo movement.
Formal Education and Training:
- High School Diploma
- Work related diploma or certificate is an asset
Professional Experience and Technical Abilities
- Two (2) years’ experience working in a flight, travel or logistics for remote based operation, with preference given to those with experience in Nunavut;
- Demonstrated capability in organization skills and multitasking capabilities.
- Self-motivated with ability to assume responsibility and to interface with the project team and represent the company and project team in a professional manner
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower organization. In addition, must be a strong communicator and be able to take the initiative to function without day-to-day guidance.
- Valid driver’s license

· Strong judgment skills including able to handle confidential and sensitive information;
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Inuktitut considered an asset;
· Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently;
· Ability to handle workload with conflicting requests from management;
· Ability to adapt to increased workloads and short response times;
· Demonstrated ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under pressure and tight timescales whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality;
· Willingness to learn, improve and adapt; and
· Good interpersonal and networking skills.

Salary: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
