JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
Based in Calgary (Alberta) and reporting to The North Face Sales Manager, the Sales Representative will manage Outdoor and Ski Specialty accounts within Alberta, East Kootenays and Prairies, lead on product knowledge training for the region, and be responsible for sample management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop sustainable and profitable sales with an assigned portfolio of customers.
Deliver quantitative and qualitative sales results that are in accordance with the brands strategy and targets.
Responsible for building and executing Go-to-Market strategies across all product categories with a focus on the outdoor and ski specialty channel.
Conduct seasonal product presentations that are tailored to the accounts needs while supporting brand objectives.
Obtain and analyze regular sell-through data to facilitate reorder business, market trends, etc.
Manage current and future order book effectively to deliver orders on time/in full to accounts.
Conduct seasonal product knowledge sessions with our key retailers.
Responsible for the receiving and management of all product samples.
Ensure the showroom is organized and prepared for all sales presentations to support the broader sales team.
Accounts and responsibilities can evolve as the marketplace changes .
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1-3 years of proven sales experience (Experience in the outdoor or ski industry an asset).
Bachelor’s in Business or other relevant field an asset.
Ability to travel regionally and internationally.
Languages: English (French is an asset)
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – comfortable presenting in group settings and capable of building long-term relationships.
Strong organizational skills.
Proficient in Excel.
A self-starter who can work both independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to think pro-actively, take initiative, and make strategic decisions.
Willingness to learn about new products and technical features.
Understanding of merchandising, trends and sales an asset.
Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office.
