The Ross Bay Health Centre is looking to add another Nurse Practitioner to our growing private medical clinic.
This is a full time position. The Nurse Practitioner will work in a patient medical home, providing culturally safe, comprehensive, full scope longitudinal primary care to patients of the Ross Bay Medical clinic. The services to be provided by the practitioner include but are not limited to:
- Health promotion and illness prevention services
- Primary care for minor or episodic illnesses
- Chronic disease management
- Management and co-ordination of patient care across the spectrum of primary, secondary and tertiary care (i.e., referral to specialists and other providers, case management, case conferences and acting upon consultative advice)
- Primary reproductive care
- Primary mental health and substance use (MHSU) services
- Support for the terminally ill
- Coordination and access to rehabilitation
- Provide medical coordination and participate in multidisciplinary team planning for the ongoing health needs of patients
- Provide health promotion and disease prevention activities including organizing and/or participating in health promotion forums focused on the health care needs of the Health Service Delivery Area;
- Clinical administrative services

Overhead
The Ministry provides funding for NP overhead; the current available amount is $75,000 per FTE.
