ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Assistant Superintendent will be based on a commercial project in Sparwood, BC and will report directly to the Superintendent. This is a full time, permanent position and there will be opportunities to work on other sites in the future throughout Alberta and British Columbia. The construction will consist of a three story building covering 130,000 - 140,000 sq foot and the project scope includes the installation of the steel structures and insulated wall panels. The project duration is expected to be 9-12 months.
ABOUT THE POSITION
In this role you will be working day-to-day with the Project Manager and Superintendent ensuring the coordination of the project allows it to progress efficiently and smoothly. This is a fly in/fly out position with a camp and the shift rotations are 2 weeks on/1 week off. Responsibilities will include:

Draft and issue project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Document control.
- Liaise with sub-contractors.
- Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) warranty and close out.
- Logistics of materials in and out of site
THE REQUIREMENTS
-
1-3 years of relevant supervisory experience
- Previous experience working with a General Contractor or with structural steel.
- Industrial and commercial project experience
- Site based experience considered an asset
COMPENSATION

Salary $90,000 - $105,000

- 2 weeks vacation
