Livewell Pharmacy, a leading healthcare provider in the Niagara Falls area, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, ensuring accuracy in prescription processing, and supporting the overall operations of our pharmacy.
Responsibilities:
- Process and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Assist pharmacists in medication preparation, inventory management, and medication dispensing
- Maintain and update patient profiles and prescription records
- Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication usage and adherence
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines set by the Ontario College of Pharmacists and other regulatory bodies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of pharmacy operations and patient care services
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician program
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug classifications, and pharmacy practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in pharmacy software system (Kroll) and technology
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician
- Injection certified
