Position Overview:
As the Operations Manager at The Burrard you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations of our property. Your commitment to excellence, strong leadership skills, and dedication to providing exceptional service will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our hotel's reputation as a hidden gem in Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services: Ensure that guests receive a warm and personalized welcome, and that their needs and requests are met promptly and with a smile.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and inspire our dedicated team of front desk staff, housekeeping, and maintenance personnel to deliver outstanding service and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Operations Management: Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and security, to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Financial Management: Monitor and manage the hotel's budget, control expenses, and optimize revenue through effective pricing strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, service quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely deliveries and cost-effective procurement.
- Guest Experience: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the guest experience, offering unique and personalized touches that set us apart.
- Training and Development: Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of growth and improvement.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hotel management or a related field is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of hospitality software and systems (e.g., property management systems).
- Proven track record in guest satisfaction and quality assurance.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
