Brawta, an authentic Caribbean restaurant located in Downtown Halifax, is seeking great people to join our team as a Food Service Representative. This is an in-demand position that you won't want to miss out on!
As a Food Service Representative at Brawta, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our customers. We are looking for both full-time and part-time candidates, but full-time availability will take precedence.
The pay rate for this position is $14.50 Canadian dollars per hour, and after a 6-month probation period, you will be eligible for benefits. We offer opportunities for growth and an increase in pay.
We are seeking individuals who can fit in with our team and have great customer service skills. Ideally, candidates should have 1 to 2 years of experience in the food service industry, with experience in Caribbean or Jamaican cuisine being preferred. However, our training program will help those who lack experience in these areas.
During our training program, you will learn everything you need to know to be successful at Brawta. We have a structured program that includes four training modules.
Requirements:
*Excellent communication and customer service skills *Ability to work in a fast-paced environment *Ability to lift up to 40lbs *Must be willing to work weekends and holidays *Must be able to work a flexible schedule
Qualifications:
*High School Diploma or equivalent Prior experience in a food service role preferred but not required. *Knowledge of Jamaican cuisine is a plus!
