We're seeking an experienced, responsible Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join our company so that we can continue to foster a safe and healthy place in a trucking industry. This position will provide guidance and leadership to the Safety department, and to implement and enforce the safety procedures outlined in our company policies. The successful candidate will be comfortable working individually and with a team.
*Experience with Fleet Manager is a must (Indexing the system effectively & efficiently)*
Duties will be delegated among all the Safety Department Staff.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with Hours of Service, ELD's
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and record-keeping concerning all transportation matters such as National Safety Code, Carrier Profile/CVOR, etc.
- Enforce policies and standards, and ensure compliance with transport regulations
- Be familiar with transportation taxes and licensing and registration requirements such as IFTA, Prorate, New Mexico Weight Distance Tax, HVUT etc.
- Monitor Counsel, and Document driver violations of any provincial, federal, or local laws or company policies or regulations
- Responsible for the administration/investigation of all accidents
- Responsible for driver data management and data entry into our Driver Database
- Responsible for licensing of equipment (tractors & trailers)
- Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of all driver files
- Maintain monthly and weekly reports surrounding compliance and data management
- Assist in driver recruitment, orientation process and verify qualifications
- Assist in new driver orientation for all new hires
- Create and implement safety measures for a workplace.
- Perform inspections for safety standards.
- Provide safety training to employees.
- Conduct safety awareness campaigns.
- Respond quickly to safety issues.
- Drug and Alcohol Program
- Date entry for Fleet maintenance records
- Report and schedule follow-up with drivers on any violations, tickets, accidents, injuries, claims and other incidents as they occur
- Work with other departments to improve driver retention and handle driver complaints
