THE DIVISION:
The Real Property Division (RPD) is responsible for the Province’s real estate portfolio, including office space inventory, special-purpose facilities such as courthouses, laboratories and correctional centres and other government program-related properties. Note, RPD is not responsible for the real estate portfolio of schools, post-secondary institutions or hospitals. Serving all government ministries and some broader public sector entities, RPD provides everything needed to design, set-up and manage a government workplace. This includes all elements of leasing, furniture procurement, lifecycle stewardship of government-owned real estate assets, and management of the overall performance of RPD’s facilities management contracts with service providers, including CBRE Ltd.
Major areas of work coming out of RPD include all new construction projects, modernizing the office space portfolio including creating mobile workplaces, delivering the CleanBC Government Buildings Program to reduce energy and greenhouse gas emissions in government buildings, and leading consultations with First Nations related to the disposition of property on behalf of clients.
Real Estate Business Services teams provide leadership in developing and delivering modern information, technology and learning management solutions that are efficient, reliable and make life easier for the Real Property Division.
THE ROLE:
The Intermediate Programmer Analyst provides technical expertise and advice in the design and development of new and/or enhanced custom applications, leads the technical implementation of custom applications, conducts technical quality assurance audits/ post implementation reviews, designs, codes, test and implement application fixes; and updates, document and support infrastructure related tools and utilities.
Job Requirements:
- Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science field or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in a broad number of application development tools.
- Experience in data modelling, process modelling, and/or business area analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of application design and development life cycle.
Experience supervising staff.

Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:
- Experience supporting IMB Tririga.
- Experience supporting OpenText or other records management applications.
2+ years of SQL coding, data manipulation and data extractions from Microsoft and/or Oracle databases.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
