Support the clinical development and education, manage inventory and equipment, and customer education programs pertinent to Medtronic defined products and technology. Support the implementation of policies and procedures and participate in all facets of clinical and operational decision-making pertaining to the programs of the organizational unit. Train and educate investigators/customers on proper use of the Medtronic product and technology.
A day in the life.
Ø Conducts on-site education and / or consulting.
Ø Supports field personnel in providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers.
Ø Partners with sales colleagues to develop and execute plans of sales for within one or more business unit(s).
Ø Participates in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.
Ø Works closely with Clinical Lead, Clinical Management and Regional Sales team to provide customer case and sales support.
Ø Identifies and facilitates execution on growth opportunities with Sales and Clinical Support Team.
Ø Serves as a technical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution.
Ø Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)
Ø Develop and execute clinical education programs designed to enhance user competencies
Ø Cultivate close relationships with strategic business partners, including all training centers and opinion leaders
Ø Provides new employee training on products, technology and materials
Ø Assist in developing objectives, and programs for marketing and selling the Company’s products
Ø Provides nursing and/or medical expertise in the development, implementation, and case reports, journal articles and clinical reports from clinicians
Ø Plan, direct, and coordinate educational workshops, and other programs, events, and activities (Maintain contact with customers to evaluate their clinical and educational needs)
Ø Leads efforts to place speakers on podiums at key conferences
Ø Work with other departments to establish priorities for the Company direction, new product development, and customer satisfaction
Ø Education reporting requirements (Must document all clinical support and education)
Ø Conduct Monthly Business Reviews with RSM & SPM
Ø High School Diploma or GED Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree with either of the below”
Ø A Bachelor's degree and currently enrolled in a certificate program from a pacing school like ATI or PrepMD.
Ø Minimum 4 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with an Associate degree, or;
Ø Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the healthcare or engineering field, with a bachelor’s degree, or;
Ø Minimum 3 years of any prior professional experience, with a bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled in a certificate program from a pacing school like ATI or PrepMD.
Ø Travel required for training, customer events, symposia, field activities and case coverage
Ø On-call and travelling after hours may be required for case coverage and/or field related activities
Ø Clinical Specialists are required to be within their assigned territory each day to be available as unscheduled needs arise. CS’s are required to work a number of weekend and holidays during the quarter, as determined by local management.
Ø Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application.
Ø Minimum travel of 50-60% of any given work week in your territory

Ø Background in Nursing Education would beneficial
Ø Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare related Sales and/or Marketing experience
Ø Strong knowledge of the healthcare system (National, Provincial and/or Regional level)
Ø Medical device experience
Ø Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops
Ø Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
Ø Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
Ø Knowledge of adult education and communication principles and practices
Ø Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community

Ø Advanced knowledge and understanding of nursing and/or medical principles, methods, and procedures
