Are you ready to embark on a dynamic career that combines event planning, alumni engagement, and fostering lasting relationships? Brentwood School is seeking a passionate and organized individual to join our Advancement and Alumni Relations team as a part time Advancement and Alumni Assistant.
What You'll Do:
- Event Coordination: Dive into the world of event planning and logistics, assisting in organizing a diverse range of gatherings, from regional events to career networking nights and alumni reunions. You'll be responsible for everything from venue selection to guest list management and event setup.
- Administrative Support: Keep our operations running smoothly by managing filing systems, preparing purchase requisitions, and taking meticulous meeting notes.
- Advancement Assistance: Contribute to the general office functions, support special projects, and assist with communications and database management.
- Relationship Building: Work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and community members, to maintain strong and lasting relationships.
What We're Looking For:
- Passion: You have a genuine interest in event planning, communications, and alumni engagement.
- Experience: You bring at least two years of event planning experience to the table, and any knowledge of special events, communications, or marketing is a plus.
- Organization: You thrive in fast-paced environments and can juggle multiple projects with ease, even when faced with competing deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Your written and oral communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to connect with a wide range of individuals effectively.
- Tech Savvy: You're comfortable with technology, particularly Google and Microsoft Office applications like Excel and Google Docs.
- Confidentiality: You understand the importance of discretion and are committed to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
- Team Player: Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you excel when working with diverse groups and external stakeholders.

Education / Experience:
Preference may be given to candidates with a diploma or degree in special events, communications, marketing, or related disciplines.
