CBM Ltd. is currently looking for an Estimator to work within our cross-functional Design Department.
Qualifications
- College diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a combination of experience, education and training equivalent to a degree or professional designation
- Three to five years in mechanical engineering and estimating experience in a metal fabrication environment and good working knowledge of Engineering principles
- Must be proficient in Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD, Lantek Laser and NC programming
- Strong ability to set and manage priorities to complete tasks and meet all deadlines with minimal supervision
- Ability to work within a cross-functional team and a fast paced, customer driven environment to achieve business goals
- Must have excellent math skills; careful attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to multi-task and organize large amounts of correspondence effectively
- Successful candidate will be a self-starter who is resourceful and takes initiative with in the organization
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the completion of timely and accurate estimates in line with company procedures and industry accepted standards
- Review customer supplied drawings, requests for quotes and parts lists to perform detailed calculations and produce quote estimates for all projects
- Analyze and interpret supplied drawings from different formats and technologies in order to achieve desired estimates
- Work directly with CBM Purchasing and Operations to obtain prices for raw material, hardware and manufacturing processes
- Establish ongoing lines of communication with sales and production staff in order to obtain required information to prepare accurate estimates
- Analyze actual production run costs and other historical data in order to continually improve the accuracy of the cost estimating process
- Create and maintain comprehensive and accurate records for all estimates and ensure proper back up of documentation
- Follow all ISO Quality Procedures and complete all related paperwork
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
