Job Description
In this full-time permanent role, you will be a champion of diversity & inclusion.
Location: Edmonton, AB
Duties & Responsibilities include:
Provides leadership for the team supervised. Provides technical direction for specific tasks and assigns work to subordinate senior engineers, engineers, designers, drafters or project sub-groups.

Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work in a project or staff group.

Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice, but may include complex features, such as resolving conflicting design requirements.

Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups.

Prepares conceptual studies, designs, drawings, reports, proposals and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements.

Reviews and checks work of subordinate engineers.

Plans and coordinates independent work requiring judgment and experience in the application and substantial adaptation of engineering techniques.

Coordinates technical issues with other departments on projects including constructability requirements and reviews.

Qualifications

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited University.

Professional engineering certification from APEGA.

10 years plus experience preferably in the energy or mining industries.

Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written).

Knowledge of the NBCC and industry standards.
