Toromont Cat is looking for a Preventative Maintenance Supervisor to join our team! The PM Service Supervisor has responsibility for the field service operations, including, setting time guideline expectations supporting technicians, coaching and application of safety best practices, training plans for all direct reports, delivering on service department financials and metrics, process and operational efficiency and improvements, and customer satisfaction

In a typical day, YOU will:
- Review customer quotation, identify additional service opportunities and obtain customer approval and purchase orders. Make arrangements for parts and tooling to be delivered to technicians and contact supporting our PM business
- Provide supervision, coaching and mentoring of technicians on a day to day basis and update and maintain work order during repair, document approvals/disapprovals for additional work in segments and enter labor and expenses in DBs systems. Once work is complete review all work order segments, determine payment for overtime charges ,discrepancies and review job profit/loss ,authorize adjustments and perform adjustments and approval for customer invoicing
- Conduct customer site visits to conduct technician spot safety audits ,ensure that pre job hazard is completed , review progress of work , identify and make recommendations for additional services and build trust and relationship with customers . Ensure that technician time sheets are submitted the next day and service reports a day after work is completed
- Promote and participate in the workplace safety environmentally sound behaviors and objectives in support of Toromont’s Health & Safety programs
- Plan and participate in the team monthly meeting and develop and manage training and development plan for direct reports
Must-haves for this role:
- Minimum post-secondary education
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory position
