Sarens Canada is currently recruiting for a Operations Coordinator based out of our Leduc, AB Branch.
This is a full time permanent position reporting to the Fleet and Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for the following responsibilities and tasks (but not limited to);
Operations
Assisting with the management of daily operational activities.
Coordinating allocation branch personnel and equipment.
Fleet allocation and asset management.
Arranging and assisting with the onboarding of new employees
Assisting management by creating assignments, tracking progress, and resolving issues
Preparing and maintaining operations documents and reports
Checks & reviews branch operators’ hours / Work Record Sheets
Ensures that driver logsheets are completed and that drivers hours are complient with government regulations.
Communicates daily with his/her employees.
Pro-actively informs Maintenance dept. on status and condition of equipment.
Maintain clear and accurate operations documents/procedures for reference purposes
SHEQ and Compliance
Actively invlvoved in the branch to work safely and according to the Sarens’ quality standards to ensure that all work is done in a safe, efficient and qualitative way.
Sales
Pro-actively informs Sales dept. on relevant potential leads, customer/market circumstances, market developments, risks, etc.
Processes RFQ’s (Request for Quotation) and prepares estimates and tenders following the Sales authorization scheme.
Operations Coordinator Requirements:
High school diploma/GED required.
Excellent communication and people management skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
2-5 Years experience in a similar role
Project Management training considered an asset
Experience in complex and competitive environments
Able to read and understand technical documentation
Adequate knowledge of cranes, special transport execution and equipment
Excellent customer service, organization, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
Experience in obtaining overweight & overdimentional transport permits for equipment in Western Canada.
