Job Description:

Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults;
-
Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
-
Providing user support, procedural documentation and relevant reports;
-
Supporting tickets and helpdesk requests
-
Recording documentation and information accurately while producing reports
-
Identifying potential issues and participates in problem solving and tool building activities, making required corrections
-
Researching, testing and evaluating various software to enhance work productivity
-
Render Wrangling is typically required into the evenings and on weekends depending on project demands.

Ensuring overall render farm performance and efficiency, maximizing render farm’s resources
Qualification Requirements:
-
Minimum 1 year experience in a IT Technician role
-
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer animation and/or Information Technology or equivalent professional experience
-
Strong knowledge of PC hardware with a focus on visual/media systems
-
Experience in relevant software packages including Maya, Houdini, Nuke, VRay, Redshift, Arnold and other industry-specific software is considered an asset
-
Experience in Windows, Mac and Linux platforms and production management systems like Shotgun
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to take direction, work independently, multi-task and prioritize tasks
-
Ability to analyze, problem solve and deliver tasks under tight deadlines
-
