Lathe and Mill Machine Operator (MANUAL) -- Vaughan
HOURS: 8 hour Day Shift - 40 hour week Monday - Friday (7:15am – 3:45pm)
HOURLY SALARY: $30-50/hour ++++ benefits / bonus -- PERMANENT
Established, Successful, GROWING High Quality Precision Machine Parts Shop (manufacturing and fabrication) seeking Experienced MANUAL Lathe and Mill Machine Operator.

Job Duties – MANUAL Lathe and Mill Machine Operator (Manual)
· Read and interpret blueprints to insure parts are being made according to specifications
· Undertake a variety of jobs, in some cases with limited instruction or information from the customer
· Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine
· Work from sketches, verbal, and print information in order to produce projects according to specifications
· Select the appropriate tools and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work
· Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as Manual Mills/Lathes, Drill Press, Sanders, Grinders, and other support equipment
· Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations
· Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers, depth micrometers, inside diameter gauges, and outside diameter gauges
· Work in a safe manner in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards
· Perform other related duties as assigned or required
Skills and Qualifications
· Minimum 3-5 years of machining experience; 5 years + preferred
· Demonstrated Ability to Utilize Measuring Equipment in support of Quality Requirements
· Ability to Read and Interpret Blueprints and Sketches
· Ability to hold tight machining tolerances
· Ability to Understand various Tooling Technology
· Active Listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate
· Strong Attention to Detail, Accuracy, and Safety
· Basic English Language Skills
