About the role
The System Administrator role is responsible for working as part of the Cyber/Cloud team providing management, administration and support of cloud-based systems in the environment including Email , Azure, and CyberArk and associated Cyber Security protocols. This position involves supporting and monitoring O365, Exchange, Security Endpoint Gateways, Fortimail and ActiveSync. Safety is the Core Value of Stelco, and the individual will make Safety the #1 priority in the execution of all work activities, including monitoring contractor/vendor safety in support of work efforts.
This position reports to Information System Services Manager.
Your day-to-day
· Manage and support cloud-based environments including O365, Azure and CyberArk.
· Working as part of the Cyber/Cloud team ensuring that these environments are properly monitored and configured continually using MFA and working with the appropriate stakeholders to resolve any issues.
· Working and collaborating with Vendors on ensuring environments are set-up and enforced using best practices.
· Responsible for Security endpoint gateway set-up and ongoing management.
· Coordinating patching and working with Vendors to ensure that environments are kept up to date with latest patches.
· Management and administration of Azure environments.
· Help develop and implement technology roadmaps and standards
· Manage customer support for break/fix and enhancements.
· Assist with maintaining the security of the environments both internally & externally
· Assist with solving complex problems with many variables
· Manage technology vendors
· Participate in developing test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects
· Remain available for off-hours support for both Hamilton and Lake Erie facilities including weekends and evenings as required.
What you bring to the table
Job Qualifications
· Bachelor of Computer Science or related field.
· Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience
Job Skills and Knowledge
· Datacenter/ISP experience
· Email/ Cloud experience
· Expertise with managing and supporting security email gateways
· Experience wit Fortimail and Palo Alto Networks preferred
· Security experience wit ActiveSync or OWA
· Expertise with OpenSource email systems.
· Clean driving record
· Strong verbal communication, written communication, and listening skills
· Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
