Functional Safety Engineer
Provectus Robotics Solutions is looking for a Functional Safety Engineer to help guide the development of safety critical systems in its autonomy suite. The successful applicant will maintain existing and define new functional safety requirements to ensure compliance with industry safety standards. The individual should be well versed in industry safety standards for software development, and have experience working within a safety critical software development process.
The individual should be comfortable with the following tasks:
- Perform safety-related analysis, derive, and specify safety requirements and safety concepts
- Conduct hazard and risk analysis
- Perform gap analysis with development teams
- Support software and hardware test
Responsible for process compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of functional safety experience
- Knowledge and experience of safety standards (eg. ISO26262, ISO13849, IEEE61508)
- Experience developing HARA, FMEA etc...
- Strong written communication skills
- Must be a Canadian Citizen
