What we’re looking for

Ensure that the 5S Program is sustained and continuously improved upon at the plant level, by reviewing monthly audits, creating monthly reports and tracking required improvement deliverables

Perform all Lean training modules established by CenterLine

Support the Continuous Improvement Employee Suggestion Program by tracking continuous improvement ideas and ensuring the annual company targets are met

Support cost saving analysis for major continuous improvement projects

Lead the Layered Process Audit initiative by creating schedules, completing training of auditors, performing audits and identifying reoccurring trends that require corrective action

Support the Value Stream Mapping Project (VSM) initiatives. Assist with the development of the VSM Projects including leading and coordinating the projects from concept through completion. Develop ‘Current State’ and ‘Future State’ Maps. Track responsible individuals pertaining to task closure to timing. Train individuals on VSM concepts as required. Create ‘report out’ documentation for Team reviews.

Schedule and lead Plant Efficiency Meetings to review data and develop actions as it pertains to the 5S Program, Continuous Improvement Employee Suggestion Program, VSM initiatives and Machine Set-Up Reduction activities

Lead Manufacturing Engineering requirements for Product Launch that include; PFMEA, VSM, Work Instructions, Resource Requirements
What you need to succeed

Mechanical Engineering Technologist diploma, or Mechanical Engineering degree required

Minimum 3 years of Continuous Improvement experience required

3 – 5 years of Lean Manufacturing in a technical environment is recommended

Innovative and creative problem-solving skills are essential

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)

Well organized, proven ability to work under tight time constraints in a Team atmosphere

Windows based computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
