Operate bus to transport passengers to and from destinations in a safe and professional manner. Northern Spirit Transportation Services is seeking to add experienced motor coach and crew bus operators to our team in the Prince George and Smithers region. The successful applicant must not only demonstrate a commitment to safety, customer service and effective time management skills, but be able to handle difficult or unexpected situations.

Characteristic Duties
Duties to be performed will include but are not limited to:
- Drive unit to transport passengers, obeying traffic signs and site protocols
- Ensure passenger safety when boarding and leaving buses
- Offer courteous, friendly service to passengers
- Tidying of bus as required, fueling
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle
- Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatchers, or other drivers
- Report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents
- Ensure passenger safety and welfare in emergencies, and direct passengers during evacuation procedures.
- Proper use of two-way radio (calling)
- Knowledge of proper use of emergency devices where applicable (spot,zoleo)
- Follow PHO policies and procedures
Employee Requirements
- Orientation, on-job training
- Drug Alcohol testing* where applicable
- Drivers abstract in good standing
- Bus drivers require a Class 1 or Class 2 driver’s license with air brake endorsement
- Experience driving in extreme winter conditions/forestry roads
- Familiarity with technology and able to adapt to new protocols/policies
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $320.00-$360.00 per day
