AltaGas - Inventory Specialist
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for development and implementation of the Inventory Management focus area within the Midstream OMS ASMG Element. This role reports to Manager, Maintenance & Reliability within the Midstream Integrated Operations team.
This position will be accountable for design, implementation, and monitoring of the inventory management system across North American and working with a team to develop idle asset sales. The Inventory Specialist will develop an inventory strategy for all Midstream facilities that is aligned to parallel Asset Management risk reduction and margin improvement activities.
You will:
Responsible for OMS ASMG Inventory Management governance documentation.
Establish, maintain, and monitor inventory policy, processes, procedures, tools, and KPIs.
Manage inventory and warehousing implementation projects.
Perform field reviews to identify warehouse infrastructure and site resources required.
Identify consultants and contractors required to implement site inventory projects.
Develop standardized Item Master within Maximo software.
Assess existing Item Master and develop plan to reduce item duplication.
Develop reporting for stock levels, inventory forecasting, and overstock/aged materials.
Develop and perform inventory and warehouse training to site employees.
Perform site audits and inventory counts to maintain inventory data integrity.
Chair monthly/quarterly Inventory Steering committee meetings.
Support Maximo/JDE Integration project.
Assess Maximo mobility solutions related to inventory management.
You have:
Minimum 10 years of combined warehouse management, supply chain & materials management experience.
Experience in the oil and gas industry.
Experience with Enterprise Asset Management Systems, Maximo and JDE preferred.
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Occasional travel is required.
Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team.
Ability to work strategically with other departments and subject matter experts.
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Self-starter, operationally & commercially driven with the ability to integrate teams over multiple geographic areas
Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills Experience managing large tenders & bids
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data Proficient with financial modeling, including asset review and inventory valuation models to support investment business cases presented to all levels of management
Occasional travel is required.
