Job Summary:
We Mange HR seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join our valued client as a Shipper/Receiver in SE Calgary, AB. This role plays a vital part in the company's supply chain operations, contributing to the smooth flow of products in and out of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping and Receiving:

Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify contents against purchase orders.

Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate labeling, documentation and quality standards.

Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and safety procedures.

Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
Inventory Management:

Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse layout.

Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.

Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or overages to the supervisor.
-
Ensure the proper storage of products, following safety guidelines and regulations.
Quality Assurance:

Inspect incoming and outgoing products for quality and accuracy.

Report any discrepancies, damaged items, or product defects to the appropriate personnel.

Ensure compliance with quality control standards and procedures.
Equipment Operation:

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions.
Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities.

Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation.

Provide reports and updates to the warehouse supervisor as necessary.
Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while handling goods and operating equipment.

Comply with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Communication:

Collaborate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and carriers to coordinate shipments.

Communicate any delays or issues related to shipments promptly.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

Three years experience in shipping and receiving in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.

Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to warehouse operations.
Working Conditions:

This role primarily involves working in a machine shop environment.
-
The position may require lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items.
-
The Shipper/Receiver may be exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions depending on the warehouse setup.

Work hours may include shifts, weekends, and overtime as required to meet operational demands.
Note: The hourly wage rate for this position is $23 per hour.
