Job Description: Trainee- Production at FAM Ti Canada
Position Overview: As a Trainee in production at FAM Ti Canada, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of flexible packaging solutions. You will be trained to become a machine operator for slitting machine for Plastic film operator within 1 year. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and commitment to quality will contribute to the production of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and uphold FAM Ti Canada's reputation in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor the Slitting machine for Plastic Fil Operator used in the production of flexible packaging materials.
- Monitor equipment performance, adjusting as needed to maintain product quality and machine efficiency.
- Inspect materials produced by the machinery for defects, ensuring they meet the required quality standards.
- Perform regular quality checks during production runs and make necessary adjustments to maintain product consistency.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
- Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the maintenance team for repairs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required while operating machinery.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine logs, quality checks, and any issues encountered during operation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical/Electrical aptitude and technical skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine control interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Manual dexterity for operating machinery and making adjustments.
- Ability to lift and move moderately heavy objects.
Location: Burlington
1 year contract Full time (40 hours/week)
Pay: 17 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
